Essays on skin physiology, current, light and heat. Written for people who read the study before the review. No transformations promised. Mechanisms explained.

Why the protocol is calibrated to twelve minutes, and what happens in tissue when you stop at eleven.

Conductivity is chemistry. What a conductive gel actually does, and why water alone underperforms.

Red light explained at the level of the mitochondrion. The wavelength, the dose, the study.

A working method for cross-referencing ingredient claims against the papers they cite.

The clinic delivers peaks. The instrument delivers frequency. Which one your skin remembers.

Sleep, circulation and cortisol set the ceiling on any protocol. The physiology, briefly.
Each modality acts on a different layer of tissue. Together they are calibrated to a 12-minute daily ritual. Mechanism first, then the claim.
Mechanism. Pulsed stimulation recruits facial muscle fibres the way resistance recruits skeletal muscle.
Visibly. Supports tone along the jaw and cheek with consistent use.
Mechanism. Sub-sensory current in the microampere range, the same order as the body's own bioelectric signalling.
Visibly. Supports firmness. Studied since 1982, cited on every claim.
Mechanism. Controlled warmth increases local circulation and softens the stratum corneum.
Visibly. Visibly improves how actives absorb, per session.
Mechanism. Red wavelengths reach the dermis and act on mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase.
Visibly. Supports collagen density with daily exposure.
12 minutes. Daily. €88. Once.
"The treated subjects experienced significantly improved skin complexion and skin feeling, profilometrically assessed skin roughness, and ultrasonographically measured collagen density."
What it does not show — It did not test our instruments. It tested a clinic-grade light source in the same wavelength band — the band is the shared fact, not the result. And it does not show permanence: the authors state the long-term effect still has to be evaluated, and almost no one was followed past 15 weeks.
